(June 6) After taking a quick nap, I checked out of the hotel and rushed to the bus station to catch a bus back to Yogya. From the main terminal, I took a Solo-bound bus to get to Prambanan, another UNESCO World Heritage Site which is actually at the boundary of Yogya and Central Java. The temples were heavily damaged during the 2006 earthquake which hit Yoyga which is why the main temple was fenced out and you could only view them from a safe distance. You could easily finish the park in half a day.
After a late lunch at a warung along the road, I then took a bus back to Yogya and looked for a hotel in the Jl Sosrowijayan area along Jl Malioboro. After taking a shower, I walked around Jl Malioboro to get some Indonesian souvenirs such as wayang golek (puppets) and masks among others. Then for dinner, I went to one of the warungs which replaced the souvenir vendors on Malioboro. You sit on woven mats while eating dinner. One of the favorites is the ayam goreng (fried chicken) which they say is marinated in coconut milk.
A little warung information: whatever's left of the food they serve you, they re-serve it to the next customer. So basically, they repeat food. But it's hella good, and we never got sick naman. It's part of their culture of sharing food. Aaaarrrrgggh, I'm so jealous.

Are you serious? Maybe not all naman siguro since they prepare individual servings. Hehe!
